An antique watch dial, made by the U.S. Watch Company, in the 1850’s, is coated with resin. The dial is from a Trainmen’s Special, which was a series of pocket watches made for those who worked on the railroad, so they could use a standard time for their work and the train schedules. This dial has a large opal in the center and a smaller one near the bottom. This hangs with a silver-plated bail and a stainless steel chain.
