One of the questions I am always asked of, when I am in person showing off my jewelry, is “where do you get your watches?”

I answer; “I am still working off of a huge amount of watches that I received at a flea market about 4 years ago.”

While I do slowly add a few watch movements from time to time, to my materials, I really am still working off of my first batch.  The picture above, shows off, to scale, the size of my collection of broken watch parts.  Some of the movements still work a bit and that adds movement and fun to the jewelry.  However, for the most part, the movements are broken and I am left to work with my imagination and the piece.
