This necklace is made by using a very ornate looking, antique watch movement, with engraved numbers and letters. A complete mystery, the watch has no company name, brand or trademark, but bears the phrase “Maid of Orleans” at the bottom and a serial number of “No. 287592”. The letters and numbers appear to be of different sizes and may suggest that these were hand-engraved, further suggesting that this watch movement could even have been made pre-1900. The movement is interesting with the large golden-colored wheel on top of the plate, near the bottom. This piece is coated in resin and hangs from a stainless steel chain.
